Jerusalem Marketplace returns

Experience the sights, smells and music as you journey in the marketplace to the shops,
synagogue school and tribe time. It truly brings Easter to life as one takes in this event designed to give a glimpse of the culture and activities that took place in Jerusalem as Jesus entered the city nearly 2,000 years ago.
Adults can join the fun, too, by serving as a volunteer tribe leader, shopkeeper or in other ways during one or more services:

Upward Sports Make-Up Evaluation – Nov. 20

Upward - LogoOne final opportunity to be evaluated for Upward Sports basketball is planned from 8 am to 10 am Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Children’s Ministry Building at Hope Point Nazarene – Yuba City. Participants MUST be evaluated before they can be added to a team and fitted for uniforms before the 2011 season order is submitted.

Harvest Festival – Preparations

Harvest Festival – Gearing Up!!

A Night Around the World

Our ‘Egyptian’ Pharoah (alias Pastor Tad) will leave his pyramid and make it  to the Harvest Festival, Sunday,  Oct. 31, for “A Night Around the World.”

A new and exciting activity is in the works – a hot-air balloon ride. You won’t have time to circle the globe, but you’ll get a birds-eye view of the festival and part of Yuba City. Rides will cost $5 per person. We hope it doesn’t rain, because that would knock out the balloon rides.

“The Holy House,” pizza in “Little Italy” and sipping coffee in the Parisian Cafe are the other new features of the 5:30 to 8:30 pm festival at Hope Point Nazarene – Yuba City.

Volunteers are needed to help transform the church grounds for the festival Sunday afternoon after services. Contact Special Events Coordinator Lynette Betts at 671-1130 ext. 15 if you’re still looking for a way to help. We also need donations of candy.
